Aging Well 2020 And Caregiving

This is the newest and most comprehensive book on both aging well and care giving. It’s not technical but conversational and sometimes even humorous.

  • Most books on aging are written by those aged fifty or younger who never personally experienced the senior years. The authors of this unique book on aging and caregiving are both in their senior years. I am 90 and my co- author is 80. We are both caregivers and talk about aging well from the old horse’s mouth.
  • I am a writer, author of more than sixty books and a former Chicago Tribune feature writer, reports on the latest medical achievements for Alzheimer’s, dementia, and other afflictions of the elderly.
  • From my own experience as a caregiver, I offer advice on caregiving and both home and nursing home visiting. I also share many famous people’s wise and often funny thoughts on aging, such as Woody Allen’s: “I don’t mind dying. I just don’t want to be there when it happens.”
  • Avis Carlson, a wife and mother, author, and civic activist, began writing a weekly newspaper column for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch on aging and caregiving when she was 80. From personal experience, she tells about the cons of aging: identity problems, self-esteem, being alone; and the

pros of aging: freedoms in aging, acceptance of age, sex and aging, achieving religious growth, laughing at life and death.

Princess Diana 2020: A Quest For Love

Princess Diana 2020: A Quest for Love

is the latest and most comprehensive biography of the

arguably most beloved but enigmatic member of the British royal

family. Other books mainly focused on one or another of

Diana’s character traits in an attempt to explain who she

was as both a princess and a person. This book puts all the

pieces of her puzzling life together to endeavor to explain

who she was and what she wanted to be. We learn more

about who she was as a person through the dozen men in

her life, both those whom she loved and who loved her,

as well as through both her father and her husband, Prince

Charles, neither of whom loved her. The book brings Diana

up-to-date in 2020 with the headlines of her disparate

grown sons and their wives as they attempt to carry on her legacy.

CLOUDS OVER PEMBERLEY is a sequel to Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. Reverend Mister Collins researches a new sermon which tests the marital fidelity of newlyweds Elizabeth and Fitzwilliam Darcy, Jane and Charles Bingley and others in the Bennet family. The sermon is at the urging of Darcy's dowager aunt Lady Catherine de Bourgh who believes Elizabeth and the other Bennet's are inferior in class to her and her nephew Darcy. Collins's research is conducted with the help of a handsome young couple from Ireland that Collins assigns to entrap the Darcy's, Bingley's, and Bennet's. What George Wickham and his wife Lydia are up to is very modern. Also off-kilter are Elizabeth's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bennet. It's an 1812 Regency serio-comic romantic romp spiced with some of today's looser morality. Jane Austen might think it a bit naughty, but nice. Published by Au
